JTT Changes For This Season
A message from USTA Colorado
USTA Colorado Staff and Committee Members utilize input to determine when changes to rules are necessary. The JTT league has undergone a number of changes in recent years and the feedback from 2024 was mostly positive. With that in mind, our staff and committee felt it would be prudent to avoid too many major changes for the 2025 season. We encourage facility coordinators, team parents and players to share input with us if it seems like any changes are necessary for the 2026 season. We greatly value the relationship we have with everyone running JTT and your partnership to run an outstanding program is much appreciated.
Change for 2025
1.00 Membership and Age Requirements. Players need to be members of the USTA (Note: Junior memberships are free). The age a player will be as of July 31, 2025 determines the division in which he/she must play.
10.02 Standings Addendum for Single Elimination rounds during State. The following tiebreak criteria will only be used during single elimination rounds of State Championships if teams are tied and none of the tiebreaks in 10.01 break the tie.
10.02A Winner of #1 Doubles. If a team match in a single elimination round is an exact tie, the team that wins the #1 Doubles position will be declared the winner.
10.02B Does not apply to round robin play. During round robin play, a tie is a tie, but both teams receive credit for individual matches won, games won, etc.
