Self Rating

If you’re a new player to USTA League, or returning after a few years away, you will benefit from ease of entry and the elimination of on-court verification and its associated costs and time. New players enter the program by using the self-rate process. During this process, players answer a series of questions pertaining to their tennis background and experience. Based on the answers to those questions, the system will provide the most appropriate rating for the player. There is an appeal process for players who would like to request a different rating than what was provided.

Self-rated players are subject to disqualification through the Dynamic Disqualification process and/or an NTRP grievance.
