Day of Event Information

Pre-match check-in

AnchorThings to do before every match

  • All players should report to the tournament desk at least 15 minutes prior to your match time.
  • Lineup cards will be provided to captains by the tournament desk.
  • Captains should submit lineup cards at least 15 minutes prior to each match. NOTE: Never turn in a lineup card until all players are on-site and ready to play.
  • If courts are available prior to the 8am round, teams may warm up until 7:30am. All players must vacate the courts at 7:30am. Throughout the rest of the day, warm up courts are not available (empty courts may not be used). If teams want to warm up, it is recommended to find some nearby courts.
  • Always use the restroom before you report to the desk. Do not wait until match is called to use the restroom.
  • You should be ready to take the court as soon as you are called (i.e. shoes, sun screen, etc. all taken care of).
  • If a team submits a lineup with any lines defaulted, the opposing team will be allowed to receive their lineup back, be notified which line(s) is/are being defaulted, and make any changes to their lineup. (As of 2017)
  • If an ineligible player is played, that individual match shall count as a win by default for the opposing team.

When Match is Completed

All players from the court need to come to the desk immediately to report scores.  This is done to ensure that we get the correct scores and any discrepancies can be worked out at that time.

Once all lines have been completed, captains need to come to the desk to sign the scorecard.

NOTE: If this is forgotten, we will assume that the captain agrees to all scores as they were reported and the scores may not be disputed at a later time.

Drinking Water

All players should bring their own water for every match, as many tennis facilities no longer have water available on-court.

Warm-up Courts

Warm-up courts are only available until 7:30am each day. All players must vacate the courts at 7:30am. Teams wanting to warm-up prior to a match can use our court locator to find some nearby courts. Warm-up courts will not be available throughout the day at the championship site and empty courts may not be used for warm-ups.

Bathrooms Prior to Match

Please remember to use the bathroom before your match is called – not after it is called.

Match Balls

Penn Championship balls will be provided. Players will NOT be given a new can of balls for 3rd set tiebreak.

Players must use supplied balls for matches (including warmups). Extra balls for warmups will not be provided by the site, but players are allowed to add some of their own balls for warmup. If extra balls are added, the match balls must also be used for the warmup.

Facility Parking & Rules

We are very fortunate to have the use of all facilities for these events, so please help us by picking up after yourselves. Please do not play on any courts that are not assigned to you and respect the facility’s rules.

We use various other sites for various District Championship events. The sites that are not listed here have no special instructions at this time; however, we request all players to be respectful of all sites and abide by any of their facility rules. We are guests at these locations and would not be able to run these events without the use of their courts.

Colorado Athletic Club Monaco (CACM)

Non-members need to park across the street at Safeway or Leyden Ct next to the club. No participants, other than CACM members, should be parking in either CACM parking lot. If your team is playing at Colorado Athletic Club Monaco, please click the button to review the rules.

Pinehurst Country Club (PH)

Non-members are not permitted in the clubhouse or the indoor tennis building. Restrooms are located beyond court #2 outside near the swimming pool. Ask the tournament desk if you need help finding the restrooms. If your team is playing at Pinehurst Country Club, please click the button to review the rules.

The Denver Tennis Park (DTP)

No alcoholic beverages may be onsite at the Denver Tennis Park. Spectators and players are allowed to bring canopy tents for outside court viewing, as there is very little shade for spectators.

Tournament Desk Phone Number
